Carpenteria, CA (think Santa Barbara) based Petracovich don’t just make lush, ethereal music, they celebrate it. The "group"(mostly comprised of Jessica Peters' singing/songwriting) offers a moody, quirky flair similar to artists such as Aimee Mann and the Cocteau Twins. Peters' style takes natural whispers and breezes itself through synthetic noises and blips, elegant songwriting turns and a subtle simplicity that creates it own beautiful canvas of sound. One of Pork TarTare's favorites, Petracovich's release is one to have in the collection – look for their live sounds in an upcoming tour through Southern California.
