Jessica Peters whom perfoms under Petracovich, named after her great-grandfather, released her debut album 'Blue Cotton Skin,' on Redbutton Records. Jessica's voice is enamoring and beautiful not unlike
Aimee Mann, she performs with a distinct sounding Nord II keyboard, light
sparse guitar work from help of Tad Wagner of Buellton, and hypnotic drumming
by Andrew Giacumakis. The dream-like 'Fall from Trees' with carosel keyboards,
lush decadent vocals, brilliant drum programing and Alice In Wonderland
effects showcases her song writing abilities. The album is a great listen of lush landscapes of sound, similair to Sparklehorse's 'It's a Wonderful Life' meets Aimee Mann produced by Brian Eno. |
